One of the best short stories I’ve read during my 100 Shots of Short reading challenge so far, has undoubtedly been Edgar Allan Po’s Tell-Tale Heart (afterthoughts). I’m not sure if it’s the dark brutality of the story, the sheer madness portrayed in the chief protagonist, or a combination of both that draws me to this tale, but I’ve found replicated in a 1950s animation, a perfect representation of the story. You’ve really got to go and see this!
If you haven’t read the story yet I would suggest reading it before you watch the animation (it’ll only take 10 minutes), because I think it would spoil your reading pleasure.
