Niccolò Ammaniti’s ‘The Crossroads’ set for UK launch in January 2009

UK fans of Niccolò Ammaniti, myself included, will be excited to hear that Canongate are releasing the English translation of his latest award-winning novel The Crossroads in January 2009. Canongate are also promising big events around the launch, with plenty of television, radio and print media coverage and perhaps most excitingly for those of us constantly glued to the Internet – a live author-reader Q&A on the World Literature Forum.

The main launch event itself will be taking place at the Italian Cultural Institute in London, where Niccolò will be giving readings to the assembled masses.

Updated details on the events surrounding the launch of The Crossroads can be found on Canongate’s Niccolo Ammaniti FaceBook group.

Updated to add a link to my afterthoughts on The Crossroads

Exciting times ahead? You bet! :o )

About Rob

Rob, a self-confessed bibliophile, is without any hope of rehabilitation. He gets unnaturally excited over anything book-shaped, and if book sniffing were a crime then he would have been locked up years ago (which wouldn't bother him in the slightest provided his cell was lined with books)
