I&#039;ll tell you what though - I&#039;m willing to give his short stories another try and based solely on your recommendation I&#039;ve added &#039;The Dead&#039; to my 100 shot list (S023 on list). 		<description>I read Dubliners a few months ago and that&#039;s how I felt about all 9 or 10 stories by Joyce: I didn&#039;t get them. He&#039;s doing more than I can understand. My favorite Joyce story was Araby, I think because it&#039;s the easiest to understand (I even read it and &quot;analyzed&quot; it in 9th grade). But I absolutely loved Joyce&#039;s control of setting, especially in The Dead.</description>
