RobAroundBookLists: The Books on the Nightstand 2008 Holiday Gift Guide

With Christmas bearing down quickly upon us, this Friday for my RobAroundReadingLists feature I thought I’d point you to something more seasonal, a real treat, and something a little more exciting than the usual run-of-the-mill reading lists I normally bring you.

You may remember in a RobAroundBookBlogs article back in September I featured Books on the Nightstand, the excellent bookish blog of publishing professionals Michael Kindness and Ann Kingman. Well, showing incredible foresight and ingenuity (something which I badly need a dose of around here :o )), the ‘dynamic duo’ have excelled themselves and put together a FREE electronic Christmas gift guide for their readers, which is brimming with loads of great book gift recommendations.

The Books on the Nightstand 2008 Holiday Gift Guide is a classy publication. You can really tell that Michael and Ann work in the industry because the publication value of the guide is really high. It’s incredibly well thought through too, and aside from featuring the personal book recommendations from their recently running ‘12 Days of Holiday Gifts’ series, Michael and Ann have appended additional sections to the guide, which feature book recommendations (with a brief synopsis for each), covering pretty much anyone and everyone’s reading tastes. Rather handily Michael and Ann have also summarised every title featured in the guide in a useful single page checklist at the back, for those out and about in the search for bookish gifts – my, how they spoil us? :o )

The Books on the Nightstand 2008 Holiday Gift Guide is primarily produced for those living in the US (the prices all have that funny squiggly S :o )), but the title selection as far as I can tell is largely international, making it of some use to all of us outside the US.

So what are you waiting for? Get yourself along and download your free copy of the Books on the Nightstand 2008 Holiday Gift Guide, and while you’re there don’t forget to leave of message of thanks to Micheal and Ann for all of their hard work and effort!

About Rob

Rob, a self-confessed bibliophile, is without any hope of rehabilitation. He gets unnaturally excited over anything book-shaped, and if book sniffing were a crime then he would have been locked up years ago (which wouldn't bother him in the slightest provided his cell was lined with books)
