You may remember back in November of 2008 I read and reviewed War on the Margins, a novel which centered on the Nazi occupation of the Channel Islands? I scored it a resounding 4 out of 5 stars and I was delighted, despite it being a novel, that author Libby Cone had used and incorporated such a large amount of historical material into the book. Impressed, I said of War on the Margins that it was “truly an accomplished work by Libby Cone, not least for its historical value, and it is one that should be read by anyone who has the slightest interest in the Nazi Occupation of the Channel Islands”.
So why am I bringing all of this up again? Well, I received an email message from Libby a short while ago, that came with the great news that publisher Duckworth have bought the world rights for War on the Margins and will be publishing it in the summer.
This is fantastic news and so deserved! Libby has worked tirelessly on both authoring and promoting War on the Margins, and it’s great to see all of her efforts coming to such a rewarding climax. I couldn’t be happier for Libby, and I wish her and her publisher Duckworth every success!
