Niccolò Ammaniti: English launch of ‘The Crossroads’ and live Q&A

This coming week is going to be a great week for Niccolò Ammaniti fans as his latest novel The Crossroads, finally enjoys its official English-language launch at a special event at the Italian Cultural Institute in London on Tuesday evening (13th January).

Following on from his hugely successful I’m Not Scared, The Crossroads is Ammaniti’s third and most lengthy novel. With a story centering on a trio’s plans to rob a local bank, The Crossroads is acclaimed for being pacy, all-absorbing and full of plot twists. It’s already won the prestigious Premio Strega Prize in Italy, and it’s now set to take the English-speaking literary world by storm (and with only 100 pages of the novel left to read myself, I can confirm that it certainly does live up to the hype).

Perhaps bigger news for online fans is the day after launch – Wednesday 14th between 8pm-10pm GMT, Niccolò will also be taking part in a live Q&A session at the World Literature Forum. Anyone and everyone is welcome to participate although FREE membership to the World Literature Forum will be required. Hope to see you there! :o )

Edit: Any questions for Niccolò must be added to THIS THREAD on the World Literature Forum.

About Rob

Rob, a self-confessed bibliophile, is without any hope of rehabilitation. He gets unnaturally excited over anything book-shaped, and if book sniffing were a crime then he would have been locked up years ago (which wouldn't bother him in the slightest provided his cell was lined with books)
