I coveted it at the start of last month and today it came into my eager little hands. Yep, It’s none other than Ivan Bunin’s The Village, a new translation from OneWorld Classics [ISBN: 978-1-84749-104-6], complete with extras (a bio on Bunin, and a rundown on his others works)
It didn’t come with the older cover I was expecting, but the new cover it does have is absolutely delicious. This is the first OneWorld Classics edition I’ve had the pleasure of owning, but based on this alone it certainly won’t be the last. Instant fan!

Ooooh! I’m jealous!
The book looks absolutely gorgeous! I’ve never heard of OneWorld Classics, so I’m off to browse their site.
Hmmm. I haven’t heard of this book, author, or publisher. This doesn’t bode well for my tbr pile. I like the cover too!
says:
@Myrthe – I think you would have enjoyed yourself at the Oneworld Classics site. Plenty of tempting delights for a reader of your calibre.
@Laza – I know from your reading preference that you’re definitely doomed from visiting this publisher’s website too. *evil grin*
I did indeed have a good time browsing through their site. Lots of good titles. And all of their covers are so beautiful! I was drooling all over my computer!
