Bookshelf of the Week: Jonathan Urch’s attic library

If your idea of the perfect reading experience is anything like mine then peace, tranquility and a private ‘book nook’ are essential ingredients. And it looks like Jonathan Urch, may have ticked the box for all three with the subject for this week’s Bookshelf of the Week, this library space that’s been created in his attic.

Ok, so some people may find such a space a bit claustrophobic, but not me. I think it looks like the perfect distraction-free reading spot, an all-nurturing ‘bookish cocoon’ if you will, and when it’s wet an windy outside I can think of no better place to take my reading to.

My thanks to Jonathan, both for taking the shot and for sharing it.

About Rob

Rob, a self-confessed bibliophile, is without any hope of rehabilitation. He gets unnaturally excited over anything book-shaped, and if book sniffing were a crime then he would have been locked up years ago (which wouldn't bother him in the slightest provided his cell was lined with books)

Ahh, very nice! I actually have something very similar, but my couch ends up in the very low area (frequent head bumps) and I have significantly fewer books in those shelves… What a lovely reading area.

Glad you like it also. I was beginning to think that nobody else did (except for me and Jonathan of course).
