Bookshelf of the Week: Wind Ranch bookshelves

Like most people I appreciate ingenious design, but I appreciate it even more when the design is wholly bookish in flavour. Take the subject for this week’s Bookshelf of the Week, one of a number of shots taken of an incredible home which goes by the name of the Wind Ranch.

Personally I love the idea of using a bookcase feature to create a divider to the sitting area. Sadly, as this shots shows, books don’t grace all four sides of this central ‘island’, but it’s still more than bookish enough to make any bibliophile salivate.

Overall its owners have done a remarkable with the Wind Ranch. And although this bookish feature is my favourite, I urge you to check out the other shots taken around the place, which really give a sense of how peaceful and tranquil this home is. The perfect reader’s retreat? I should say so.

Thanks for sharing the shot WindRanch.

About Rob
Rob, a self-confessed bibliophile, is without any hope of rehabilitation. He gets unnaturally excited over anything book-shaped, and if book sniffing were a crime then he would have been locked up years ago (which wouldn't bother him in the slightest provided his cell were lined with books)
