I am so excited to find your site. I just finished Mysteries and have already read Hunger. I too love to read books and am especially interested in existentialists and beat writers. I learned of Hamsun through reading Charles Bukowski. Hamun’s characters are so neurotic but also so insightful. Nagel in Mysteries definitely had a mood disorder thing going on. It amazes me how relevant the issues of Hamsun time are to ours.

I will use your list to try and track down more of his books as my library only has three of his books. Thanks for the help!

I know it’s easier said than done, but you really need to read Hamsun Laza. I know you’d love him.
