Bookshelf of the Week: lasdcm’s ‘ladder library’

OK so accessibility may be an issue for this week’s featured Bookshelf of the Week, but for ingenuity and creative use of space then lasdcm’s book-shelving solution is a real winner in my book (pun intended).

If you look at the rest of the shots that lasdcm has taken of her apartment then you can clearly see that space, at least on an horizontal plane, is at a premium, so making full use of the vertical, the only way for the bookshelves is up. I love the idea, although going up and down that ladder with a few of the story anthology/collection tomes I have in my collection, is a scary prospect.

Anyway thanks for sharing the great shots of your apartment lasdcm. Just be careful on those ladders. K?

About Rob

Rob, a self-confessed bibliophile, is without any hope of rehabilitation. He gets unnaturally excited over anything book-shaped, and if book sniffing were a crime then he would have been locked up years ago (which wouldn't bother him in the slightest provided his cell was lined with books).

  1. Very cool bookshelves! Our ceilings are low or I’d try to imitate. Obviously, I’ll have to come back weekly to see what other gems people have come up with.
