Evening folks! It’s Sunday evening again and time for another round of the week’s posts on RobAroundBooks for the benefit of anyone who may have missed a post or two. Apologies for the tail off towards the end of the week. I was playing nursemaid to both wife and daughter, who both came down with a nasty dose of the flu (thankfully not swine-flavoured – Heaven forbid):
That’s the round up of the posts for another week my fellow reading lovelies. But before I close I just want to say a word or two.
Over the past couple of weeks I’ve sensed that things have gone a bit flat around RobAroundBooks. Sure I’m still keeping up a fair post count, but it feels as though many of these posts have an empty flatness to them, with a subtle air of ‘rushed’.
Even worse, I’ve also been feeling a bit flat myself lately; as though my enthusiasm has dropped a notch or two, which for me is kind of heartbreaking. Why? Well RobAroundBooks exists solely as a portal for me to promote a passion for books and reading ( I have zero commercial ambition), and this promotion of reading is ‘fueled’ solely by own bookish passion. If I can’t keep my enthusiasm at 110% then I’m not achieving what I set out to achieve in the first place, and that upsets me, massively.
I know where the real problem lies though, and it’s that blight of most bloggers, a virtual block in the ‘fuel line’ known as ‘lack of time’. Quite simply I’m not finding the time I need to achieve what my heart and soul wants to achieve with RobAroundBooks, and it’s all a bit frustrating really.
Why am I telling you all this? Mainly to make you aware that I’m aware that RobAroundBooks isn’t whizzing around the blogosphere with the same amount of gusto that it was a few weeks ago. But I don’t want you to lose faith. Instead I want to reassure you that I’m well and truly on the case. And if it takes every nerve and cell in my bookish body to find the time I need to get RobAroundBooks to where I want it to be, then every nerve and cell I will employ. Expect to see big improvements!
