Well you’ve heard me harping on about it enough lately, and now, thanks to the good and generous people at Headline Publishing, here’s your chance to read it yourself (without actually having to buy it I mean). I have one signed copy of Anna Shevchenko’s Bequest to give away to one very lucky reader.
That’s right folks that’s one SIGNED copy of Bequest up for grabs, regardless of where you live on God’s great planet, and entry is simplicity itself. Just drop your name in the comments below, along with copious amounts of desperate begging
, and I’ll pick out a winner at random..emmm shall we say next Wednesday?
Good luck everyone, and remember to check back in a few days time to find out what I thought about Shevchenko’s novel myself.
Please, please Rob I need to win this book. I want to read your recommended book and add it to my eclectic collection.
Please sub-tropical me needs something to raise the spirit in this snow bound season. Winning this would be great.
Would love to win this one. Thanks for the chance!!!!
Nice. I’d be glad to get hold of this one Rob. Mighty glad.
Let’s not forget the magic word: Pleeeeeease Rob, pleeeeaaase.
Let the begging begin! Exciting opportunity for an exciting new read! My bibliophilic nature means that I cannot keep up with my own voracious appetite, even with frequent trips to the library and bookstore. So please help satiate the literary beast that threatens to consume me if not fed a sufficient quantity of quality literature! My fate is in your hands!
oo ooo Pick me! Pick me!
I’d love to get this one!
I’ve read some brilliant modern Russian novels as well as some of the old usuals. Please help keep me up to date with modern Russia. Be kind to an old man with far too many books for his own good. And a dog that likes to go out in the snow to play. And a wife who complains about the number of books he has. Mind you she is kept happy when he puts the odd one in the bag for sending to Charity Shops.
I have trained the dog to do all sorts of things but have signally failed to teach him to read to me while I lie in bed. Perhaps this will be the book to do the magic trick.
I’d just like to point out that awarding the book to Peter would just make his household life miserable. Just saying.
Who talked about fair competition?
Well it’s a bit early in the day for desperate begging, but I’d like to be in the draw please
What a great competition. Great start to the year Rob.
Please count me in!
I’d love to win this one! Thanks
I’m not great at begging but, pretty pretty please with cherries on top, pick me, pick me!! Thanks for the opportunity!
Hi Rob, I’m already wearing my ushanka hat, I’ve got my glass of vodka, I’m already snuggled up on the couch. All I need is this book!!!!! Please pick me!!!
Thanks Rob
Chris
Hi Rob, Glad to see you are up and running again! I like your blog because it has so many interesting features. I would love to be in the drawing. Thank you for the opportunity.
Darla
normally my pride forbids me to beg, but books…well…that is something of a different moral order. Here we go as I drop on my knees and beg for the book with my largest puppy eyes popped in me head: pleeeeeeaaaaaaaase please please, give Daisy new books, new books, please, me neeeeds!
i wouldn’t mind adding this to my collection. i just finished reading turgenev’s “fathers and sons” and wouldn’t mind seeing what a modern russian author has to offer. so pleeeeeease, rob!
Hi Rob,
It’s such a great idea! How can I not ask for a signed copy of my coutnry fellow writer? Thanks a lot and hope to be the one!
Oh please please please please please. And one more please
Thanks!
