Shevchenko Giveaway: And the winner is….

The entries are in, the Random.org generator has been powered up, and so it gives me great pleasure to announce, that the winner of a SIGNED copy of Anna Shevchenko’s Bequest is…..

Well actually hold on a second here guys because I just want to say a couple of things before I announce the winner. Firstly I want to thank everyone for taking the time to enter. I know it sounds cliched but I really wish I had a copy for everyone, because as much as I love doing giveaways I hate it that people have to walk away empty-handed.

Secondly I’ve got to admit that I wasn’t really serious about the ‘begging’ part (you may have noticed that the phrase ‘pick out a winner at random‘ followed immediately after I said that). Nevertheless I was thoroughly entertained by those who did take the time and effort to ‘beg’ (rather pitifully may I add ), and it’s a real shame that your attempts at ‘panhandling for books’ didn’t get taken into consideration.

So here’s what I’m going to do. I am going to take the begging letters into consideration, and along with announcing the random winner of the original SIGNED copy of Bequest, I’m also going to give away my own precious copy of the novel (sadly unsigned) to the person who I think entertained me most with their message.

And the winner of my own close-to-my-heart copy of Bequest (sadly unsigned but it comes with much love) is……Peter Clack (well how could I not select Peter? It sounds like he has to dodge daily, the tirade of a non-book loving partner. I feel your pain Peter. I feel your pain! )
