If you've been following my reading journal of late then you'll know that I'm working my way through Neil Gaiman and Al Sarrantonio's upcoming short story anthology, Stories (published on 15th June by Headline Publishing in the UK; HarperCollins in the US). I'm ten stories into it and I haven't found a bad one yet. And in this shiny new video clip in which Neil talks briefly about the anthology, he assures us that not a bad story has been put in it (I'm dying to disprove him folks I really am. But it's proving difficult
).
Also in the video Neil offers some tips on the best way to read a short story anthology. The upshot of this advice however, is that there isn't a best way. Treat like a meal and work your way through from beginning to end (which is what I'm basically doing), treat it like a box of chocolates and dip into whatever takes your fancy, or even seek out the shortest of the collection. All valid and correct ways of working through a short story collection, and I couldn't agree with him more. Anyway I'll shut up for now and let Neil speak for himself. Enjoy the video!

Can’t wait to get my copy! Mr Mailman is being extra difficult this time. He’s teasing me. Leaving delivery notices that say he will come back the next day, then not coming back the next day. Argh! I want it I want it I want it! lol

Good, he’s doing exactly what I asked him to do
