Welcome to Day #32 of my Flash Clash reading challenge, and if you were reading yesterday’s update then you will know that I’m down to finishing off my final flash fiction collection – Dan Rhodes’ Anthropology, before announcing the overall ‘winner’. So with me being down to only the one collection, there isn’t really a lot for me to talk about (especially when the subject is flash fiction), so I’ll just crack on and present the ‘official’ results table for today. I’ll see you tomorrow.

*Keeping in the spirit of flash I’m limiting myself to only giving single-word comments for each story.
**As they are incredibly short in length, David Gaffney’s stories are being ‘ticked off’ two at a time.
*** Dan Rhode’s stories are even shorter than Gaffney’s and to ensure that I finish his collection in time, I have to cover three per day.
Inspired by the publication of Nik Perring’s debut flash fiction collection, the Flash Clash Challenge is a fun contest in which

I’m a bit sad this is almost over, if I’m honest, Rob! I’ve loved it!
But I am rather looking forward to the final results! (Or rather being curious at how far behind Keret I am!)
Thanks SO much for doing this. Seriously, I know how much time and effort it would have taken and I appreciate it an awful lot.

I’m feeling a bit sad about it all coming to an end too Nik. That said it frees up my time again for the next project. So it’s all good.
As for finishing behind Keret? I wouldn’t be so sure. I haven’t even looked at the standing yet (intentionally because I don’t want my knowledge of the placing to affect my ratings), but you were both pretty much running side by side from what I can remember.
As for thanking me Nik, you’ve done it a million times already. And as I’ve said back a million times, it should be me thanking you! Your stories have been so thoroughly entertaining.
Warmest
Rob
