Daily Bookshot: Buy these, now!

Buy these, now!, originally uploaded by Robert Burdock.

If I’m guilty of blatant plugging here then shoot me, but I really want to empathise to you in today’s Daily Bookshot, just how important it is to pick up True North (Salt), the latest short story collection from Cambridge-based poet and short story writer Andre Mangeot, and the debut collection East of the West (Sceptre), from the Bulgarian-born Miroslav Penkov.

Both of these writers impressed me so much during their event on Monday (you can read about it HERE), that I really can’t get either of them out of my mind. Please try them (you can read Penkov’s short story Makedonija, at Five Chapters, for free), because I think they both have something pretty special.

About Rob

Rob, a self-confessed bibliophile, is without any hope of rehabilitation. He gets unnaturally excited over anything book-shaped, and if book sniffing were a crime then he would have been locked up years ago (which wouldn't bother him in the slightest provided his cell was lined with books)
