I was chuffed to bits to stumble across a 2nd-hand copy of Hunter S. Thompson’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas recently, not least because it was a Flamingo Modern Classics edition which is lavishly illustrated throughout with the cartoons of Ralph Steadman. Sadly the Flamingo imprint is no more, but thankfully this Steadman illustrated work of ‘gonzo journalism’ lives on, under the HarperCollins’ Harper Perennial imprint. I suggest you go check it out.
