Have you got what it takes to join the League of Extraordinary Booklovers?

If you’re a voracious reader and you’re based in Scotland, then you might be exactly the person that the Scottish Book Trust are looking for. Running in support of the first ever Book Week Scotland – which runs from 26th November to 2nd December 2012 – the Scottish Book Trust are forming a band of special book lovers who will be at hand to recommend and advise (via email and Twitter) those who seek ‘superhuman’ literary guidance.

Nominations are open to booklovers of all ages and you can nominate yourself or someone that you think would be a great candidate, by sending an email to TheLeague@scottishbooktrust.com, telling them in 300 words or less why the nominated person should be chosen.

The deadline for submissions is 14 September 2012. For further details please visit the Book Week Scotland webpage.

About Rob

Rob, a self-confessed bibliophile, is without any hope of rehabilitation. He gets unnaturally excited over anything book-shaped, and if book sniffing were a crime then he would have been locked up years ago (which wouldn't bother him in the slightest provided his cell was lined with books)

  1. What a wonderful initiative :) Have you nominated yourself, or do you hope to be nominated? (I’m browsing your site and coming across so many fun articles).

    • Hi Iris,
Lovely to see you. I can nominate myself and the Scottish Book Trust are encouraging me to do so. So I think I probably will. It sounds like loads of fun :) .
